The
Administrative and Maintenance Service (AMS) is a structural division of the Institute of Seismology. Its main task is to provide administrative and maintenance support for the activities of the Institute of Seismology:
- Technical maintenance of buildings, premises, and internal life-support systems (water supply, heating, electricity); planning, supervision, and execution of current repairs; provision of furniture, utility equipment, mechanization tools for engineering and administrative work; removal of solid waste; fire safety; and ensuring cleanliness of the surrounding territory.
- Ensuring that buildings and premises housing the Institute’s units comply with sanitary regulations and fire safety standards.
The main functions of the AMS include:- Resolving issues related to the technical operation of premises. Monitoring the proper functioning of equipment: elevators, lighting, heating, and ventilation systems.
- Implementing fire safety measures and maintaining fire‑fighting equipment in working condition. Ensuring compliance with fire safety and occupational safety requirements by personnel.
- Preparing layout schemes for office units, departments, equipment, and resources.
- Preparing necessary documents for concluding service contracts; receiving and storing office supplies, required materials, and appropriate equipment; providing them to structural units.
- Keeping records of the use of office supplies, consumables, and other materials and equipment. Maintaining required reporting.
- Monitoring the preservation of furniture and auxiliary equipment and ensuring timely repairs.
- Organizing and supervising the condition, interior arrangement, cleanliness, and maintenance of premises, common areas, adjacent territory, and landscaping. Monitoring the condition of employees’ workplaces. Ensuring cleanliness and order in office premises.
- Organizing the operation of the company’s transport and controlling related expenses.
- Participating in the development of plans for current and major repairs of fixed assets (buildings, water supply systems, air ducts, and other facilities), preparing estimates for maintenance expenses. Organizing repair work and monitoring the quality of repairs.
